The Sydney Actors Playhouse was founded by Mike Booth in 2021 as a new training ground and live performance opportunity for Sydney actors. Through weekly acting classes, Mike is dedicated to bringing the philosophy and environment of the studio training he loved overseas back to the local community.

Mike Booth - Founder / Instructor

Mike is a teacher, director, writer and actor with over twenty years industry experience. He trained at the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York, Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago and the Impulse Company in London. He has worked extensively in the Australian film & television industry and been a prominent figure in Sydney’s independent theatre scene. This year he appeared in The Children's Hour, Posh (Old Fitzroy Theatre), Timon of Athens (Seymour Centre) and Sydney Actors Playhouse's very own Mauritius (Desire Books & Records, Tap Gallery).
